A meticulous total restoration to this MG YA was completed by its last owner of nearly twenty years and since its restoration it has been lovingly cherished and mechanically well looked after. What is nice to see is that the cars rear window blind together with its ash tray to the back of the drivers seat and sliding roof are still all in working order. The paintwork to the MG together with its chrome is still in lovely condition, the doors close flush onto the bodywork of the car.The dash panel is in lovely condition together with its working instruments of which the oil pressure gauge shows a good oil pressure and the amp meter shows a good charge, the semaphore arms (directional indicators) are both in working order, the MG is fitted with a heater and the interior trim is in good condition (a small section needs cleaning). The engine when driving the car runs very smoothly and shows no signs of requiring any work whatsoever, the gears slip in and out with no trouble and the steering to the MG is positive and nice and easy to use. When driving the car the braking system shows no faults and the car stops in a straight line and is fitted with Michelin Radial tyres all round. The chassis together with all its related parts are in impecable condition and gives the impression that the car has only been driven in dry weather conditions as there are no signs of deteroration or rust and everything is still in just restored condition. Only around 170 of these MG YA saloons still survive on the road in England today.
