A classic example of a “used but not abused” MG YA four door saloon which has a lovely “patina” from being constantly used for nearly 20 years by its previous owner. The MG drives really well and always starts on the button and shows no signs of any mechanical defects at all. As can be seen from the pictures on my web site, the interior trim and roof lining is still very respectable, the seats are still in good order, the dash panel is respectable, the speedometer works, the oil pressure gauge shows a good reading of 60lbs when the engine is idling. As can be seen the engine has not been cleaned and is still in its original as driven condition. There is no slipping clutch and no problem with the gearbox. In the last few years the MG has had a new battery, new clutch bearing, clutch plate and clutch assembly and new brake linings. Although the MG won “Pride of Ownership” at Brands Hatch in 1986, it could at a later date benefit from a respray if the new owner wished to enter the MG in for competitions, but it’s still very respectable. The chassis and all the related chassis components (including the cars in built jacking system) are still in respectable condition. This is not a concours car but a very usable car which could be used on a daily basis without having any worry about getting it dirty. The MG comes with a comprehensive history file and receipts going back over forty years. The MG is being offered for sale with a full years MOT.
